Basketball Fouls

Okay, so I'm watching Tech play OU in the Big 12 semifinal game, and I have to say, I can't stand the call where a defender stands there with his arms up, the offense draws contact and knocks over the defender, only to have a foul called on the defense. You know what I mean? There either wasn't a foul or it should be on the offense. The defense just stood there. Since when is that a foul?!?!? This gets me riled up during Mavs games as well, but I hadn't written about it.
